Greetings!! My username is MultiAwesomeness, and I also have a YouTube account with the same name which I only use to occasionally comment on some videos, both in Spanish and in English, every once in a while. This isn't my first rodeo with making a blog, as I've previously made a blog talking about Comic Books, which didn't last very long considering I was only motivated to make it as part of a Computer Science project from middle school, which was a long time ago.
In this blog, I will talk about my experiences with a web-based simulation game known as The Hunger Games Simulator on brantsteele.net. Said game consists about making your own roster for a virtual arena deathmatch similar to what happens in the first 2 books of the Hunger Games and their film adaptations. Upon submitting your custom roster, the simulator generates outcomes through a series of events generated randomly in which there is only one survivor at the end of the simulation. In other words, the Hunger Games Simulator, besides having events from the Hunger Games such as The Bloodbath, Arena Events and The Feast, can also be considered similar to One Minute Melee (in the sense that incredibly powerful characters can be nerfed and weaker characters can suddenly receive a huge buff) and Mario Party (the outcomes are determined purely by luck instead of skill).
I first heard about this type of game about half a year ago, one day I was looking for videos to watch in my spare time when I came across one in which characters from the Sonic franchise (one of my favorite video game franchises from my childhood along with Super Mario Bros. and Pokémon) were the custom tributes in the simulation shown in the video (here goes the link for the aforementioned video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8JaIsvI2mY). Afterwards, I decided to watch more videos related to the Simulator, some of them made by a Youtuber named JAC OneManBand. I would also like to mention that before trying out the Simulator found on brantsteele.net, I found another website known as Simublast, which had the option to click on simulations, with the custom rosters already made, based on Marvel, Harry Potter and Star Wars, although after trying it out 3 times, I didn't like the fact that there was an error that made one of the characters survive, even though they were supposedly eliminated like 2 or 3 times already, and ultimately win said simulations.
Anyway, back to the present, over the following months, I will publish some entries, each one belonging to one of the 24 simulations I made on brantsteele.net before ending the season with a Quarter Quell. In said entries, I will type the events that ocurred in the simulations, comment on them and, on occasion, the narrated text will have some modifications in order for the generated outcomes to make a little bit more sense, in my opinion. Also, at the beginning after introducing the custom roster in each simulation, you can choose which district would you like to see victorious and see if your chosen tributes from said district make it to the end or not. At the end of each entry related to one of the simulations, I will put the corresponding season code in case you enjoyed it and are interested in trying that particular simulation for yourself.
May the odds be ever in your favor!!
